Meet Kaye
I'm a Piano Teacher, Songwriter, and Composer with over 20 years of experience playing and 7 years of teaching the piano/keyboard. I currently reside in Hyattsville, MD where I conduct in-person/online lessons for the DMV area. Online lessons are only offered to students at an intermediate level or above. While I understand the convenience virtual lessons allow, I do require all beginner lessons to be in person until a fundamental understanding of the piano is exemplified by the student. I also teach Music Theory/History to all piano students and Ear Training/Songwriting to interested intermediate students. Although I teach several genres of music, my personal favorites are Gospel, Alternative, Classical, and Indie/Pop, which heavily influences my style of playing. I love music because it's another way to express myself, and I love teaching music because everyone has a little music in them! I'm here to help you find the music in you.
